You did it! You're done with your primary education, which likely spanned the majority of your life so far! What's next?! Whether you have your next steps figured out or you are still exploring what you want to do, let Inner Trek be a part of that process.

On this trip we will celebrate the end of an era and give time to prepare for what's to come. The trip is designed to help you connect with others in a similar season, give you space and time to clarify your values and reinforce your decisions, and to reflect on key components of your life journey thus far.

Backpacking Details with Inner Trek:

  • 4-8 miles of hiking per day

  • Carry personal gear as well as some group gear

  • Will learn how to set up and tear down camp

  • Participate in preparing backcountry meals over a fire

  • Participate in group conversations related to next steps and your story/journey

  • Hiking on designated backpacking loops in Zaleski State Forest; Backpacking sites include potable water

  • Provided gear includes: Tent, Backpack, Sleeping bag, Sleeping pad, Sleeping bag fleece liner, all necessary food, all necessary group cooking equipment, group first aid equipment

  • A list of gear that the participants need to bring will be included in the trip preparation material.

Frequently Asked Questions:

What if I've never backpacked before?

Our guides will teach you how to load your pack, adjust your straps, navigate the trail and other necessary skills. Having a fitness level to hike 4-8 miles carrying approximately 30 to 40 lbs of weight is the only requirement for this trip.

What if there is an emergency?

This trip will be lead by a Wilderness First Responder, trained specifically to assess and manage various kinds of emergencies in an outdoor setting. Local emergency services will be utilized if necessary. Inner Trek guides follow established protocols to minimize risk appropriately and maximize the safety of all participants.

I'd like to attend, but the price is too high. What can I do?

Our pricing reflects the diligent preparation, professional guides, delicious meals, highly rated gear and follow up after the trip. We believe that honoring transitions and taking adventure is worth the investment. If the cost of the trip is a barrier, consider asking for financial support from family, friends, or other supports.
